Making an IMPACT despite COVID-19
Thanks to a team of stellar Volunteers, Partners, Donors and co-operative Residents our first staging of the Community Health and Wellness Fair was a success!
Everything went according to God’s plan and we delivered on an event that was wanted, needed and impactful.
FREE General Healthcare
Just under 100 residents received FREE General heath checks, courtesy of Winward Medical Mobile Clinic and the MOH.
Through the donations of Dr. David Walcott and his team, residents also received free prescription drugs, infant formula, hygiene and reproductive health productive.
Special thanks to the staff at Crofts Hill Health Center.
FREE Eye Care
50 Residents received FREE Eye Screening an 22 received FREE Eye Tests courtesy of Optometrist, Mayanna Francis and the team at Comprehensive Eye Care.
Residents who booked follow-up appointments also benefited from their FREE FRAME promotion, seeing further costs savings between $5,000 - $15,000!!
Physiotherapy Consultation
Kimberly Hoffman Reid, Physiotherapist and Director InSync Health Wellness Beauty provided FREE Physiotherapy consultations and tailored exercise programs for up to 15 residents.
The conditions assessed include Osteoarthritis (OA) of the shoulder, knee, back and stroke related disabilities.
Diabetes Care
Medical staff from the Diabetes Association of Jamaica (DAJ) provided FREE Blood Sugar Tests to registered patrons and offered discounts of over 85% on other tests.
The DAJ dispatched a Nurse and Medical Doctor onsite, allowing us to provide comprehensive checks, consultation and public education to residents with diabetes and diabetes related concerns.
