It goes without saying that Jamaica deserves better from the two evils. But while they fail in the country’s governance, let us not fail in governing ourselves. Instead of being Buyers, let us be Builders. Let us build businesses, industries and opportunities. Let us invest in ourselves, families. and communities Let us be the change. Together we can put Jamaica on a sustainable growth path.

We are resilient and resourceful. We are too Powerful to be Powerless.

Jamaica is more than just a pretty girl. Her track record demonstrates beauty and brains. We have many smart revenue generating solutions within our control. It is time to rally around film, music, art, agro-businesses, small scale farming, renewable energy and digital transformation.

Jamaica must cure it’s Tourism dependence.

When we discuss heroes today, mentions are limited to Martin, Marcus, Malcolm and other leaders before my time.

Who are the heroes among us?

Now, turn to the Jamaican context and ask yourself: What do I want for my community? Why must the Jamaican vote be free?

Spent differently, $39Bn in tax dollars can keep more young people in schools, train more skilled workers, build more recreational spaces, fund social outreach initiatives...ultimately stopping crime before it starts.

If the NHT is overfunded, why not change the payroll tax allocation? Why not lower NHT contribution to one per cent and bump education tax up to three per cent?
